DSCI is Honored as One of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts for the Fourth Time
The Boston Business Journal has named DSCI Corporation as one of the Best Places to Work in Massachusetts in its eleventh annual regional awards program.
This is the fourth time DSCI has been named to this prestigious list; the company was previously honored in 2005, 2010, and 2012. This latest award also follows DSCI’s recent recognition as one of the Best Companies to Work for in New Hampshire by Business NH Magazine. Awards such as these recognize DSCI’s achievements in creating a positive work environment that attracts and retains employees through a combination of employee satisfaction, working conditions, and company culture.
DSCI was one of over 400 companies to qualify for consideration in the BBJ’s Best Places to Work competition, based on the results of a two-stage nomination process. Now, DSCI joins an elite group of 80 local companies recognized as the best employers in the metro Boston area. DSCI is one of 25 winners in the Small Company category (20 to 100 employees).
“At DSCI, we’ve never settled for being just ‘good enough.’ From our leading-edge business communications services, to our unwavering focus on Customer Care, to our total commitment to our employees, we will always go the extra mile to be the best company in the telecom industry,” commented Sean Dandley, President and CEO of DSCI Corporation.
“Our Best Places to Work event will again recognize the importance of cultivating a great workplace culture as a competitive advantage,” said Chris McIntosh, Publisher of the Boston Business Journal. “Companies on our list can be justifiably proud of creating a high level of workplace satisfaction during an economy where traditional rewards like big raises and bonuses aren’t as easy to give. In good times and in bad, our results validate how the creation of the right corporate culture can create powerful business advantages. Employees are proud to work for companies that are about more than just business.”
The Boston Business Journal launched the survey project in January 2013 in conjunction with market research firm Quantum Workplace of Omaha, NE. Companies were evaluated on the results of more than 18,000 employee-satisfaction surveys taken throughout March and April. Employees answered questionnaires that addressed factors such as their pride in the company, company encouragement, recognition of achievement, and relationships with co-workers and supervisors. The results were analyzed and scored by assigning points to each question.
The top 80 companies will be awarded during a lively cocktail reception on June 13 at the Citi Performing Arts Center – Wang Theatre, and profiled in a special supplement of the Boston Business Journal on June 14. Click here for details on this event.
